Hello Everyone!
If you are here, thanks for stopping by.Well, this past Saturday my good friend,Melissa, and I went to IKEA(Houston).After a long morning it turned out to be the only stop we made and of course feeling cheated, we stopped at Super Target on the way home....why? Because they were open.hhaahhahahha!

Let's start with getting there.....We leave and about an hour away, my Aspen dings, a message appears on my screen(cause it rocks like that) and then of course I see it's overheated and battery light is on.yikes! So I pull over once we get over the hill.(luckily in front of the United Bilt Model Homes. I took that as a good sign,despite the situation. So, we lift the hood(like we even have a clue....but atleast the attempt was there,right?) I didn't see anything broken,on the ground or hoses busted. I call my ever-so-mechanically-inclined husband.(thank you God for this wonderful man-and not just cause he knows cars :) He basically comes and tows it home with my B-I-L, Melissa and I get her car and of course our middle child, who we'll call Bubble Gum ,for obvious reasons.(her real name is Lorin) Back to Houston we go.hehe.

To spare you, turns out thermostat was trippin', water pump cracked and the whole crap was pushing out the waterpump and fan.....$70 later and my husband greatness....I'm back on the road! It is quiet again like when I first bought it. So happy....

NOW, important things.lol.
IKEA, how I love thee.......I didn't go to actually buy anything.Come to find out, Melissa has never been.(she's an IKEA virgin) ;P Well, it didn't take her long to fall in love and me to find things.Ha! So here is a little tour,not much,but so wonderful!

A $5 mat which I use to protect my counter instead of a splat mat. $12 savings vs. splat mat ;P

Clear Acrylic containers for my pantry mission! $5.99 each (i'm going to get more!)

My favorite....Fintorp! I have to get more of these for my stuff to come off the counters . You
buy the rod $9.99,hooks$2.99 and set of baskets$14.99 and use them virtually anywhere! This is
my most favorite!

these beauties were in the potted plant section...$2.99 each. I thought my copics would look good in them.

Add stacked buttons to make little leg stands ;)

Wha-la! Angled copic storage. I initially put hot glue to keep them stacked,but i'm reinforcing
with clear cable ties. ;) ah, so heavenly!

So here is my Super Target find(it was the only package left ;( ... I think candy pretzel rods will
look good in these for the day of Love....Valentine's!

So, that was my trip and the great little finds! I can't wait to go back and that'll be real soon! I will be back with my pantry re-do when it is complete. (hopefully soon)

Rainy Day fun!

Hello!
Today started off with rain pouring,which I'll admit was kinda nice. (Only because I was off mind you ;P )If I had to go to work, I may have had a different opinion. lol. Aside from that lovely weather, Lorin was home feeling blue shall I say.... (a little stuffed nose, hot body,felt cold...guess flu like crud) While she slept I ran errands and picked up a long awaited project to complete!

Lamps!

yes, the kind you put by your bed....I had been needing a lamp for my side of the bed because I just don't have one for some reason. I stay up later,yet Young has the lamp.NOT .....going...to ....work. ;) Anyhow, I was on
that site that is addicting...yes, again, PINTREST! I saw a vintagey (<<------this is Lora vocab ) room with neutral/natural colors and fell in love. While I don't have the wrought iron bed, my bed is nice and it HAS to work. (don't need to be spending money) I would say I've been looking for lamps for a while now,but nothing is what I've found or the price is so ridiculous,that it just isn't happening. That brings me to my next favorite store(in this small town) HOBBY LOBBY HEAVEN Yes, they have cute lamps there. They,too, are crazy to think I'd pay $90 for a small bedside lamp. like hell. ;) I only need 2, so that's good huh? well at $180 plus tax, again...like hell. (not this sister) even at 1/2 off if that is going on when I decide that I NEEEEED them, it's still $90 plus tax. (uh, again, no!)

If you know me, I think I can make anything.LOL. Atleast that is my common saying to anything cute I see..."oh, I can make that". Well no big head here, I like to "play". So if I do the math ( haha, I suck at math by the way) I can do it myself. So let me show you how my theory panned out.....

I bought these items at WAL-MART(yes peeps, wally world) $57

so I used my stampin up stacked flower die on this burlap and cream colored tulle. I stacked 2pcs of tulle flowers over each burlap flower repeating twice to give them some chunkiness. then used my little pearls to spice it up.(just like the ones I initially contemplated buying at HobLob) ;P see bead possibilities...

Cards Today!

My momma recently had surgery and is pretty much home-bound for the next few weeks....So, she asked for some cards and I figured I'd just come over and we could make them together...LOL! What was I thinking! Instead, I packed a few things and went over, only to see her uncomfortable and not feeling too crafty. So she laid there and I made cards. Funny thing is she said" My Lord, do you take this when you go on your retreat things?". I'm sitting there laughing at her surprise as to what I had brought....I replied " Oh no, I take my room....literally" Then she just looks on and asks" does this stuff just pop into your head" Again, I'm like " yep, wish I could just get paid to sit and do it all day long". Wouldn't that be a treat! Unfortunately, it's just my day off and I got to play for a little bit.

Oh, on another note, I stopped by the Dollar Tree to pick up bags for her on the way to visit and let me tell you, they have aisles of Valentine's, St.Patty's day and Easter out already. Nothing like pushing the holidays I suppose. I'm gonna make it short because I've got to get my nails done! thanks for looking!

If you know me well,you know I love new things. My newest and most recent obsession is Pintrest! It is the most amazing,wonderful,super,creative concept I've discovered. I am now an obsessed pinner too. Yes, as if I don't have enough time to do everything else, I sit up late at night (and I mean laaate cause I don't need much sleep) ;) Why do I bring up pintrest, besides the fact it is the coolest? Because I just finished re-doing my laundry room after my pinning spree! So, let's begin.

Our laundry room was funky.the gold,shiny non covered bulb light in there was the first eyesore.It's been there since we moved in. I always thought" oh, I'll get to it when I do the laundry room the way I want it.....so, 6 years later..bam! It was first to go. There was one big shelf smack dab in the center of the wall and left so much room to do nothing. I have so many colors I like I began to gravitate to purple.Long after searching for the right purple, it never happened. They were too light, too bright, too dark,too bold....(and I am a color lover too,but it just wasn't happening) My next thought was maybe green.I like lime green and my sisters is awesome...but no, a green will most likely go in the house elsewhere this year.Then I found it! here it is....finally,after 6years! LOL Aqua Bay found at Lowe's( another place I am so very fond of ;)

The pics above are the same spot. Can you believe it? I hate clutter,but all that stuff had no place to go. Paint does wonders, don't ya agree? See the stuff hanging on the door? I'll get to that later....but it bugs me.

still need to put quarter round and peel that sticky off the left corner.

I went ahead and took all my totes and moved them to put this clear shoe organizer to hold my cupcake sprinkles and toppers. I love it! Genius I thought since we like to bake up in here! And of course, I themed each row according to how the holidays fall. I thought it would be wonderful and it is. So, with a quick glance, I know what sprinkles I need to get. A girl has to be prepared! ;)

Here's a close up of my Easter row, which could also be baby's , mother's day and so on....

and here is the final look......I still need a little rug, a trash can in the middle of washer/dryer, a switch plate cover to come in (minor things) but I love it. The peacock feathers are another pintrest idea. I wanted something and to keep it simple so who doesn't love peacocks! (of course I like change so in a year IF I tire of them, I can peel them off and replace with another design...right?

Back to the Grind...

Well, it was a super busy year end in my home. Thanksgiving was a flask, our son, Cody,came home for Christmas break, Christmas came and flew by and now....well, here we are for a New Year!

Hello 2012! I have realized (actually a long time ago) that I want to play. I just want to stay home(not work) and play all day long. I don't really get tired, so sleep is not necessary and that makes me a perfect candidate to
go to work for a craft company 24/7. LOL! Isn't that all our dream? (if not, then...o.k) So, this new year brings lots of new, lots of do, lots of crafts, lots of glue.( like my rhyme? ..that just happened to work out that way)
I have got plans...Plans to make everything I have in my craft closet, everything I see and everything I refuse to pay for. Yep, I'm a do'er.I'd much rather make things on my own. Now, that is most things except for one that I recently decided against....haha! yes, there is something I will not try. Know what it is? Tiling. I "thought" I would tile my kitchen counters myself, but nope....not happening. Aside from my brain missing it's mathematical element, I suck at math in any area(especially measuring) aside from addition,subtraction,multiplication and geometry. But that is a whole other post in itself, so I will spare you.

Since Cody is back in school as of yesterday.....it's time for momma to get back to crafting and spring purging and everything else I like to juggle around at once. So, for my first New Year project, it will be re-decorating my laundry room. I have to start small because I like to bounce from project to project and we will just be taking this room by room(like that show,but not old fashioned-heehee) I'll post pics as soon as I am done,but my inspiration was found HERE!

I love wreaths.
My problem is that I love sooooooo many styles so I have a super hard time picking one out. I will never buy them made. I make them myself, so it's much more fun and usually better than what I've seen. (hee hee)

So, here began the journey......I had seen this netting stuff /ribbon last year and wanted to try it, but like usual, I ran out of time to even make it so it went to the back burner. I think I just ended up using one that I had already from year before. I like to change things all the time. ;)

(Fast forward to last weekend) I was in Michael's and saw the netting/ribbon again. and then on my latest favorite website, there it was again on several wreaths and doors.The kicker was that the one at Michael's looked like this

and charged like that! hahahaahahha. Yeah, if you saw the pic above and then the price at the bottom of the wreath then you know where the hahahaha came from. The netting rocks just in general,but that isn't worth $129.....are you kidding me? I sat there trying to take my mental pic and imagined all the ways I could alter it. Then I decided to snap a picture because I knew I could make mine better. Not to be mean, but they flung the netting on and threw ornaments....BAM! Oh well, I know there are people who will pay that for it.

Yesterday, I noticed all the Christmas stuff seems to be disappearing so fast that I found the netting, letter and 3 sprays and came home yesterday inspired to get it done since it'll be December in just days!

Here is what I came up with and how I did it. No rhyme or reason to it cause I do not beat myself up over perfection. I just want it to look good to me because we are often our own worst critics and it's just not worth stressing over. I was so on a roll, I painted my snowman and dressed him up cause it's cold outside tonight and well, he's been in my cabinet for a few years just sitting there naked. LOL !

Halloween 2011

Hello everyone! I can't believe it's November! What in the world....
Time sure does fly by.

Halloween was short to me this year. Was it the time fixing to change? NO, not really. I do believe it was the fact that the kids had school and Young and I had to work...so it was short and quick, but sweet.We had family and friends over so it was swell! I looooooooooooove Halloween!

It was fun trick or treating and watching these girls get candy while I was scared....one house around the block had a skinny (and i mean stick skinny) guy in a black body suit with a white face and I swear, he was walking smoothly so-to-speak and then just slithered up by me and it scared the bee jee bees out of me! I yelled and that was enough for this cookie!

Anyhow, we (well....I ) survived the creepiness and had a great time! Here are a few pics of the kids ..

I Love , Love, Love Halloween!

There is nothing more fun than carving pumpkins with a crazy group of kids....Last night my friend and I decided to carve pumpkins tonight.Soooooo after work I flew to get pumpkins on my broom and then decided it would be so fun to decorate cupcakes too! Only about 30 minutes of prep time is not much for a good time.

The pumpkins came out great. The cupcakes came out even better and all in all, we had a blast! Sounds like we'll have to repeat the process again if we can squeeze it in before halloween! Perhaps an adult carbing? I don't know, but it sounds like fun to me.

I haven't been posting in a while because things happen....This little thing called life usually steps in when I think I am going to take over the world and accomplish many things. It's a funny thing how my mind works. I have tons and tons of ideas.Ideas for everything you can think of, but right now I'm stopped and stunned on October!

October...it's many signs for me. I love October!

It's holidays creeping up.
It's my favorite holiday to play...Halloween!

It's a sign that the year is coming to a close....It's many things! These are just a few things that I think of when I think of October. Can you belive it is already mid October? I can't. I feel like it was just Sept. 25 and our baby just turned 11yrs old. It's true what they say...." Time flies when you get older".
That is so true. I find that months just pass on by and they surely don't stop for nothing.

Today I am just happy to be relaxing by doing nothing!

Letter Pressing away......

I was just wondering if it was possible to use the high side of the embossing folder like a letterpress plate? I have so many from Stampin' Up I figured it was worth a shot. I did consider that it didn't seem as high as the letter plates,but it was high enough to try,right? Yep! Turns out it worked well enough for me to make a card! I just wanted to share it with you, just incase you were wondering the same thing!

I used all Stampin' Up products and had fun making this little card. I left the outside blank until I decide the theme, then I'll stamp a little somethin' on it. I really like how it came out and of course it looks much better in person. ;P

I've been so busy these last few months, I hadn't created much of nothing....Had my son graduate and we have been in college mode....time flies. Speaking of time flying, I can remember being little thinking the weekend would neverrrrrrrrrr get here. Oh how I longed to just watch cartoons on Saturdays! Now, forget that! Cartoons are crappy and show 24/7. Anyhow, I received my Mojo e-mail and thought " hmmmm, I should play since I haven't and I'm off. Gosh, it felt great! I was just seeing them come n' go and no time to sit and do anything...it was quite depressing actually. But, well worth it only cause we are just within weeks ( 5 short weeks to be exact) of Cody moving for college! eeeek! I have a million wants coupled with a million worries, but I know God has surely helped me to make sure he's ready.....and he is.

So, on to my MOJO .....here is the sketch

Gosh be darn! I got busy and forgot to come back....ha! NO, really I've just been busy. It seems like I start something and think" oh, I'll come back later or tonight and finish"....doesn't happen although I have every intention. Home, kids and work take all my time lately. Jordan started softball and it's been go,go,go. I've signed up for team mom and that is fun! Don't know all about softball,but I do know all about fru fru. ;P

Months and Migraines....

Good Evening everybody!

Well, it's Sunday again......geesh, time just flies by. The months come and go so fast. Wouldn't it figure that now I am feeling 150% that weekend time is over. ha! Friday was horrible....which actually started on Thursday. I started to have a headache. No, not that simple. It was not a simple headache. There is a difference and I can tell when it's gonna last. So, Thursday I popped some tylenol cause I figured it'd be hurting more and sure enough come Friday I was in pain. I should have called in, but I had so much going on that I went in and was dying by 9. UGH! Needless to say, I came home and stayed inside til Satruday around 3 I started to feel like I could move and do. I popped extra strength and moved around. The pain came and went, but it just hurts so bad that once or twice I have wanted to just die. I didn't think a migraine could be so horrible. So, come the evening on Saturday, I got my butt in gear and whipped out some cards for The Stamps of Life set that I received in January. I love Stephanie's stamps. They are well thought out and cheap! I have never heard of anyone charging $1 shipping. ( I loooooove that ) Anyhow, I have a busy work week coming up so here's my latest creations! Baby Showering.......

I work at a Middle School and we have pregnant teachers galore. heehee. Tomorrow, or shall I say in a few hours, we'll host a baby shower. I volunteered to make the cakes. One for each parent, so 3 cakes. I wanted to make the onesie cake.....A simple thought, right? But of course not! All was well. My cake was super soft and yummy. I was able to cut it in the needed shape, still no problem....Then I go to put the icing and oh but no! It wanted to fall apart so in effort to save the cake I resorted to fondant. I've had this box of RTU fondant and it was not too bad. That is considering I had never used it before. I took pics, but my onesie is much cuter in good lighting. ;) so here they are....

Monday blues....

I should so be in bed and asleep,but I'm not. I have missed some blog days so here is a catch up.

The weekend was good. We cleaned and hung out. I got hubs to put new garage door framing. You know the ones you see that have the bottoms missing or all nasty and falling apart. ( looks like this....)

yep. got it all pretty now. I just have to have decent weather and paint to finish it up. ;) so happy. It was an eye sore even though it wasn't as bad as the picture above. That was the first of many projects. Of course that was a $15 fix and then.....our disposal goes ka-plunk! I think that just figures. One thing fixed so naturally one thing breaks? Darn the luck.

On to the Monday I've had. My honey left for training and I end up with the baby of the family spiking a fever. Needless to say I stayed home with her only to find myself doing laundry, tending to her and checking on her which left little time for anything else. I am almost done with laundry finally. She perked up around 2:30 and then began to heat back up around 5..poor thing. :(

I managed to make a card last night for HeroArts Inspiration , but come to find out my pearls came off the body and one pearl came off the die cut, but I'll fix that tomorrow. Here is the card I came up with, but I didn't use a Hero Art stamp so I didn't bother to post it. ( I know, real smart) heehee.

We have a WINNER!

Today turned out to be cold in the afternoon. I don't like cold weather. When it's cold, I like to stay in my pj's(that don't ever seem to match) , not comb my hair or do anything. It's in the low 30's right now and in South Texas.....that's freezing! (LOL)

However, all that doesn't matter cause at 6 this a.m I started receiving numerous messages on flickr for my winning on Hero Arts monthly card contest! YES, you heard me..Out of all the entries ( and there were a gazillion) I was one of 5! yippee! Can you say " made my day!". I was so excited I just stuck my iphone in Young's face and asked if he was up. All cross eyed he peeked and said congrats. I suppose I should have let him wake up, but I was so excited and who else was I gonna tell so early in the a.m? So, after the blinding session I gave him in the a.m, he did manage to e-mail me a "congratulations, but if you ever put that phone in my face at the crack of dawn.....I'm gonna push you off the bed." Ha! gotta love him. I suppose thinking of it now, that was kinda mean of me huh? lololololololol.....

I am now off to pick out my stamps and then shower n sleep! I am so excited. Thank you to alllllllllllllllll of you sweet stampers on Hero Arts that left me messages. You are a wonderful group and the messages made my day! Isn't it sweet how simple little notes from strangers who share your hobbies just make my day? I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Drowning in rain.....

Hello everybody! Welcome to my little blog....

It's Sunday and I finally got out of the house today. Went with my girlfriends, Melissa,Veronica & Suzanne, to see Country Strong! (finally) It was really good and sad. I love Gwenyth Paltrow! (Tim was great too)
It's been raining for 3 days now and we've done nothing but sit inside and watch movies. I made 2 cards which I'll post later tonight or tomorrow. They came out pretty. ;) It's amazing how weather can make me so sleepy and just about worthless. It wasn't just me either......the kids and my honey were just as lazy. (or were they following suit?) Who knows,but it was nice. I NEVER sit and do nothing.

Baby it's cold outside!

It's cold...super cold! (We are not used to that here in South Texas) ;O
I started dozing off again on the sofa today...Not sure why. Maybe because I stayed up again til about 2 ish? heehee. It's supposed to get colder tonight and I am just not feeling it. I only like cold when it snows (which is never) and when I am off. Neither of those are the case tonight! oh well, get over it.......

I just wanted to post my cards I worked on since I'm slacking IMO. I'll post them in a second....

Today was a busy bee day for me! Aside from being a Monday- I was busy at work, busy after work and just busy with laundry, kids and catching up. Here it is almost midnight again and I am not too tired. Of course that could be cause I dozed off on the sofa earlier.....(no drool though, so I must have not been too sleepy?) LOL. It's funny how drool can be used to determine your tiredness. heehee!

So, first things first.Happy Monday! I have submitted my entry for Hero Arts Contest which is twice this month. Hoping to win! There are so many entries I might not have a chance but it's so worth a shot huh? I think so too! Tomorrow I am hoping to post all my cards I made over the weekend . I was a busy bee again! So much for daily bloggin'. ;/ I have good reason though. I was gone Friday til today at a scrapbook retreat! Can you say FUN? I went Here with a group of friends and some others who were very nice and funny. It was great! I stayed up a little late both days and boy that was exhausting which I am just feeling now. (I was dozing off watching t.v) heehee Among all the fun and cuttin' up, we did a little be-lated celebration for a great girl and the candle flames were the color of the candle! Yes! Can you imagine that? Well I did manage to take some pics too, which I'll get to in a sec. This was my first time to the Rockport Retreat and it was so great! After a year or two of not being able to go or having something going on, I finally made it! If you are in the Texas area, I will suggest you go. o.k well time for bed cause I am sooooooooooooooooo sleepy after a fun filled weekend! I'll post pics tomorrow.

So glad it's Thursday..............cause it's my Friday! I'm off the weekend to go on my scrapbook retreat with 12 other crazy ladies! Car is packed, clothes is ready and I am not getting sleep I'm sure. I wasn't sure what I was going to work on, so I packed my room and am takin' it all. All I need is some DP and I'm good. It's almost hump day ...I have a few things before it turns midnight since I stay up soooooooooooo late. ok real quick...We are doing /planning a major garage remodel since I need room to put all my scrap crap(as it's referred to) Anyhow, cricut boxes bug me and so I tossed out all the darn boxes. Really, they are such a waste. (IMO) I saw this but I am not up to paying $80. So............I came up with this below. $5 4x6 upright pages (6 to a page) and they'll go in a binder that will be $9! yes, I only put the overlay and the cartridge,but I have a gypsy too. I don't like clutter. Just sharing incase you have the same problem. I can't see using a gazillion boxes and having to open them every single time. (Especially when you need 3 cartridges) ;)

Hello All! Well I missed my daily blog posting.....not only cause it's not that day or I forgot, but because I don't sleep much.(normally) But over the last 10 days I've been off.............that's all I did. I stayed up super late and slept super duper late. (ahhhh, how I'll miss it tomorrow). Anyhow, I stay up so late it's like I never posted. I'll just catch up! (hee hee)

Well, it's come again. A brand spankin' new year and I'm still here! (yippee!, shall I say?) ;) Well, today marks day 1 of many things.

Day 1 of a new year( a given)
Day 1 of changing spending habits
Day 1 of bloggin' daily
Day 1 of drinking less soda
Day 1 of making this one butt kickin' year!

Ahhh, the joys of a new year! On that note, this is my day 1 (see, already one off the list) I should be asleep,but I can't sleep cause I'm not too sleepy. However, I am not feeling to great either. Don't know what I ate,but just stomach pains.(maybe I didn't eat much is the problem?)

I am so thankful to be here and have my precious family! I hope that you(my friends) will have an equally as cool year this 2011! I must go to bed cause my honey is taking me to Michael's and Archivers tomorrow! yaay! (yes, you think ugh....poor thing, Day 1 of spending habits....but oh no my pretty- I have giftcards!)

Days after Christmas......

So it's just a few days after Christmas and I don't see as many lights and decorations ..... booo hooo. I love looking at all the lights. They are so pretty and the thing is, I don't care if it's one strand or 50, they are just pleasing to look at. Any spirit is better than no spirit and (that is just my opinion).

I took my tree down today and began to wonder just how many ornaments I had and how many were put on my tree. I didn't count cause this was so after I got going, but I am betting it's near 1,000. I love each and every one of them.They each have a little story behind them.Even if it isn't a big ol' mushy story, there is a little something significant about each one. :) I love them and continue to add to them. So, I supposed next Christmas time I will pull them out and count them. :)

I'm really happy to have had such a blessed Christmas & a wonderful family.

Christmas Joy...

Christmas was great! I especially hope yours was a hit! We went and had Christmas Breakfast at my mom's then we shimmied on over the in in-laws for Christmas lunch. Perfect! I've managed to update my slide (to the right) and I'm not even done. All my little do-dad projects aren't posted, but I'll get there soon enough.

We;re almost at a new year! I can't believe that 2011 is just around the corner and 6 days away.....Time flies by. It's going to be an even better year. There is tons to be done and trips to be made this upcoming year.

On the scrappy side of life, I already have my first scrappy retreat lined up for the first weekend of the new year. I have tons to do and hope that I get a whole lot done. Of course I like to talk, so I'm not sure what the chances are that I will get all my scrappy projects done. We'll see......

Hope you enjoyed your Christmas and have a splendid New Year's! As for me and the family, we'll be with close friends and then home.....Nice and safe.

Hello all!
I have been missing due to the holidays,but I did manage to try out for the 7kids Design Team! I have made quite a bit of things as of late,but just have been going and going with getting out of school and Christmas. Once this madness is over, I can and WILL post my goodies! There is always something being made,so that is not a problem. I so wish I could post as fast as I make things. (don't you?)

Aside from that exciting news, I have all my shopping done. Last minute, but oh Walgreen's is the place to go for gift cards. I didn't have to stop at all these places! LOVE IT! However, gift cards are not much fun to wrap!

Today it was actually cool. It has been around 80 degrees here in South Texas so we actually hadn't had cool weather. I personally don't like cool weather, but it sure does make it seem proper for the holidays. We got our lights up and the tree has been up for about a week. I'm not looking forward to the Christmas shopping that follows up to Christmas. : (
Some people go absolutely nuts! I think I am up for getting gifts and making them simple. I love to be into everything , but at the same time I am simple. Doesn't make much sense,I know.......oh well!

On to projects....I have completed a gift I was making. Nothing hard, but procrastination sets in and then I am mush.The best thing is that I am cleaning my space and actually seeing progress. What space ? my crafty space that is.

Laundry is almost done as I sit here and babble....Oh how I do not like doing laundry that takes all day! Hope you have a great Monday since it's now just after midnight!

I am so surprised at how time flies. I don't take naps, I stay up late, get up early and still............no time. The time just flashes by. I should go to sleep early, eat breakfast and take my time,but my mind goes 100 mph. I am constantly thinking of things I want to make, have made, where I want to go, trips I want to take, what my family wants to do, would like to do and will do.I think I make my husband and other people dizzy with all my ideas! I do not get tired and I love to plan. Plan,plan,plan...

Speaking of time....we just spent 2 days in Kerrville,Texas and Fredricksburg,Tx. hiking Enchanted Rock (which is a Texas must) and all the wonderful shops like an old time village. Here are some of the shots I managed to get. So pretty. So tranquil.

Library Books.....

Oh yes! You can go to jail for a damn library book and overdue fines...I was supposed to be off.Off to unwind from a busy weekend.Off to get my home in order( clean clothes, undies, bathrooms cleaned...basically to be Cinderella, which sounds so much better than my day today ;)
This started with my needing to run errands and take care of things I needed to do ,but hadn't had a chance to get to. I checked the mail, went on to pay a library fine that was $3.05 ( yes, three american dollars and 5 cents..1 freakin' nickle) So, dreading the trek downtown and never having cash on me- I got the cash and went downtown.I'm ready to pay and start my day......WHATEVER!
The lady asked me for$42.89.....huh? I looked lost....hmmmm. " NO, I called a week or so ago and it was $3.05... I was told to just swing by and pay it when I got a chance" ....so today I swung by only to be caught like felt on velcro! arg! She then proceeds to pull out a list of fines,and a book that is apparently not returned, oh and a certified letter receipt signed by yours truly....our son!
So I write her a check and she said" go straight to municipal court and I'll fax this over to them" ..................drive in the suv...grunt....wait in a long ol line.....
Finally, I am up and nothing....yet wait, it's in your name for your son....you have a court date in December, yep just come then.

LIKE HELL! I never received the certified copy and I did get a letter and call....... So I wait for the judge....Mind you, it's only 12:15 p.m. I return at 1:30 to wait and see creepy, loud,obnoxious people who have no clue how to dress for court.NOT even the word decent came to mind. I was actually scared. I've never ever been to court on my own account, yet these people were there like frequent fliers. I sat QUIETLY listening to people laugh about their PI tickets, one who had several. Then behind me was a mother who was a blubbering idiot coming up with excuses for the judge as to why " tommy" (not his real name ) didn't go to anger mgmt. classes...what? This person is a parent and scheming with her kid? WTF is all that ran thru my mind.
Finally at 4:05 I heard my name called....I think my eyes bulged out. I was soooooooo freakin' scared. not a laugh or giggle out of me. I felt like a criminal. I basically said the truth and just happened to cross paths with my letter...I just wanted to pay the least amount and get the hell out of there.
I paid.
I left.
......and it wasn't in handcuffs.LOL

Long story shortened.....pay your kids overdue fines and make them find the damn books they check out cause trust me, you don't want to spend your lovely day off like this.....12:15-4:05p.m for something that seemed so petty.

Halloween as usual, was a blast! I love Halloween. Not so much for the spooky ,grueling parts,but the fun the kids have. There is nothing better than seeing all the cute and clever costumes come by. Our good friends , Danny & Shelly, asked us to go to the food & wine fest in Fredricksburg,Texas this past weekend......Since nothing was going on, we went and I'm glad we did! We enjoyed their company, the food, the wine

I was not feeling so great since last week. ....sore throat, ear aches, migraine and sub woofers in my ears. yes, I said sub woofers! I could hear my t.v double. It was wierd.very,very wierd. But it's gone.....all gone.

I love this time of year. I see all the new growth and the air seems fresh.I just love it. Easter will soon arrive and then the year just flies by! I have been out of commission,but here are some pics of my middle child posing and acting goofy for me to practice. They came out pretty good if I do say so myself.......

Today was another cold day. Only in Texas will it rain,sleet or snow out of the season. .....I am not a fan of cold. I love the summer. The sun beating on my skin and then and only then , a freezing cup of Dr. Pepper or even water. I have been working on school work,so no creativity til this wkend, unless absolutely necessary! ( yeah, right)

GCD is about to have their DT call end. I so entered it early. I hope to get picked, but hey, if not, there's always a next time.

Well ladies.....I am here. Supposed to be doing homework but I so want to craft! It's not fair. Anyhow, guess I'll get over it.

On a happier note, I'll show ou what I did over my Saturday Valentine's Crop this past weekend. I drove up early Saturday to Houston and met up with some great friends at the Junkie and it was a blast. Beth, the owner, had it all cutesy,fed us and I think I ate too many cupcakes!

I just have to get in the swing of it,but it seems pretty great. I really think I will enjoy my time there and hope to inspire other crafty people in the process.

Another cold day in South Texas....I am not liking this. I have been studying and reading at the kitchen table since 1 today...It's now 9:45 and I am ready to get on the computer and play,but not much time cause another assignment is due and I still have to read some stories and answer questions for Tuesday on another class....go figure. Looks like play time is coming to a halt!(just a day or two...) ;) What will I do......croak. But, I do have to stay focused and that is so easy for me to lose sight of. I do not like school. I do not study well and frankly, I am not my sister.....ha! She's a school nut.

Well, I suppose I shall retire and dream of scrapping hopefully. I need some mojo this week.

Mission....Organize Stamps!

O.k, so If you keep up with me at The Scrapbook Get Away, I mentioned before that I was contemplating stamp storage. I think I just have an obsession with organization supplies,but anyhow.......I thought about 2 weeks on it and made a decision to go for it. I currently have this mess in my scrap space(which happens to be in the garage....

messy, I know. I got back last weekend and didn't bother to clean up since I had homework to do. So, anyhow here's what my stamps looked like...I had them in 12x12 acrylic holders that snap together. Now, I did like them and they do work,but I wanted smaller and more organized ...or maybe just change? so here is how they were....

uh huh.....they were by category....then I started to make covers so they would be easier to find.....I had enough to do a few. I think I like....this is what I have so far..not many,but tomorrow I should finish.

So here is a close up.It's neater and I think I love the idea.Kudos to whoever thought of that idea.

Tadaaaaa! Super cheap-o and easy to do!

Sick,Sick,Sick....

I got sick last week. I knew it was coming,but that is something I love to deny. I cannot be sick. I have too much to do.Not to mention I am a big ol' sissified whiner when I am ill. It's pathetic and my hair is totally just as crazy. By day 2/3 I am depressed.It just bites!
However, I am feeling wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better now,only it's raining all weekend now. PFFFFT! Isn't that something? LOL What can I say......oh well, off to scrappyville. I have to work on my Vintage kit from the SBGA, which is really just precious as ever......you need to go get you one! o.k We rang in a new year.....I have got to stop and change. YEP, me! I have got to stop spending money, stop drinking soooo much Dr. Pepper and stop procrastinating. I hope you will help encourage me as I am having to make them immediately. Thank you in advance. I am hopeful for a prosperous New Year and hope to do many things within the next 12 months. I too, hope that you have a nice year as well and that God gives you peace, joy and love all year long.

The year has flown by...where did it go? I bet nobody knows.....I surely don't. It flew soooo fast. I guess people aren't kidding when they say it goes by fast as you get older.I'm not ooooold, but I'm older and old enough to know it goes by fast. It's been a good year. I've had all I needed and more, we have food and are warm, have love and friends....oh yeah, and scrapbook stuff! I so love the thought of a NEW year,but am sad at the same time to know my kids are a year older. i just want them to stay small....so they'll still tell me how much they love me stretching their arms, so i won't seem like an old fogey to them, so they can still fit in my bed to snuggle buggle,so they just don't have to face the horrors of the ever erroding world.....oh geesh, time flies! My throat has been hurting...
I just wrapped some presents...
went to the store and forgot mostly what I went for...

This sets my mood eh? I am not feeling so great,but want to wish you all a Merry Christmas at the very least. I really need to get on the ball with my scrappin' but December is such a busy month. Lorin's B-day,my B-day,Christmas and then BAM! a new year.....
Isn't that wierd how time just breezes by? I think so.
We're told it should be cold...freezing cold....then it's gonna be sunny....nice and sunny. I give. In South Texas you just have to see how it will turn out cause it's not always predictable. Whatever it is, I don't want rain. My yard looks like crap and so much worse when it rains. The cold I can handle ................somewhat. If you're here, thanks for stopping by and please say some prayers for my friends....one is sick, the other has cancer and one more is finding out about a sickness at MD Anderson soon.

I have been a bad girl. I have not been posting like I want /plan to all the time. I think it's just that time of year and not to mention, I am usually busy. BUT today is my b-day and I wanted to just quickly note that I am thankful to have made it one more year. I feel like frogger sometimes.(yes the game) I'm always trying to take on too much and go,go,go....but don't get me wrong.....I love to be busy. We're going out to eat with the familia tomorrow since I worked tonight....Chili's here we come.
I took some pics of my hubby's best friend and his little family. It took me about 10 minutes to shoot the pics and they came out real good..I'll post a few tomorrow!nite nite

I made it back home this evening! woo hoo! I was glad to see my little family here relaxing.
I had so much fun at my friend JoAnn's Birthday crop party. We cut up all night Friday and Saturday too. Here are some pics of the fun photo shoot.....

I made a few little projects....our make n' take was a blast. It was such a fun project. we made a fan like booklet with pics from the day.It was so cool that we all used the same pics and made them all different. They all came out really nice. Here is mine. This is the jewelry box it sits in...

I also managed to make a cute little Christmas garland,but I gotta embellish it up once I know where I am putting it up at!

I couldn't wait to get home to post this. I needed to have clear and calm head as well..
..It is amazing to me how God presents us with amazing little things that just mean the world.( to me , anyhow)
Let me start from the beginning.
I work at Hobby Lobby about 1 ,sometimes 2 days a wk or month.depending. Anyhow, I go in today and work is going. Catching up on the latest, checking the store out ,all is good. It's close to closing and we're hustling to get everything done...Then this man /guy (can't tell how old he is,but since I was younger I've always seen him around town)asked me for help...That's not all not just a man.....
See, the thing is this man walks crooked so-to-speak,his poor hands are dry and crooked, he can barely speak right because it seems his poor body is just paralyzed or something....I have never known what exactly is wrong with him,but he surely has a radiant smile which,it too is a little crooked,big brown eyes and long curled eye lashes. He slowly made way of asking for string..... He then proceeded to tell me that he needed some wire. After trying to understand him at a slower pace and knowing what he wanted, we walked together to get his little string. He knew what he wanted though,so it took a bit to find the exact wire. As I asked him specifics so I could really help him, he began to tell me what all more he needed. I noticed he had little plastic sheets ,about 6 to be exact cause I was looking and listening....they are usually in the knitting aisle. (just fyi) Just as he's moving along with his cart to tell me what else he needs,Katy(co-worker) walks up. She offers help as I've been with him for some few minutes and she notices he is handicapped as well and maybe she is stumped by his speech? I don't know..Katy stays and he's midway through describing this little plastic windchime to be made. So we listen a little more intensely cause he seems so excited about it....I would say when I saw him initially I began to focus on him and pray for him.(this was instilled by my parents who always said pray and help those who need it) His little teeth were not in the best, nor were his clothes,but he was clean nontheless. He stops in the aisle and slowly begins to tell us both that he knows this girl who is ill and he talks to her..He said " her mom doesn't work because of course she cares for her daughter...they don't have much money,so I buy them groceries sometimes" By now I am in awe...we both are. He then says" her mom makes these little windchimes out of these plastic sheets and hangers so I told her to make me 20"..." they are just so cute"....
Katy and I smiled and giggled striking a conversation about these little gizmos. In my mind, I knew exactly what he was talking about cause I have seen them. So the string he says " is expensive" and he decides it's cheaper at walmart. He had those 6 sheets and said he'd wait cause they were cheaper at walmart if he just got the white ones and not the colored ones. Oh by now my eyes were welped,my heart was happy and sad,my stomach was in knots. Katy was sniffling to keep from crying. I was not looking at her to keep from just gushing. We walked him back to the plastic sheets he decided to wait on cause they were 49 each! the string was $2.47 and 1/2 off( yes that cheap and 1/2 off) I knew this was killing me. I thought I throw that money on Dr.Pepper all the time and never think twice....I got Katy to continue to talk to him while I got some things. I flew back with it and rolls of string, got him 2 or 3 of each color,wire rolls and told him i'd carry it up front. he went up with katy while i flew to the front. I bought it all and when he went up to pay handing cash up I gave him his receipt. yeah, he was shocked and got the same teary eyes Katy and I had.He was ecstatic to have simple wire for his friend and a rainbow of plastic sheets with many to spare....
My point in telling the whole story is that I realized how lucky I am, how thankful I am and how this little guy I helped made a big impact on my so called busy life. He only needed a little bit of money,yet his friend would not have to bend WIRE HANGERS to make her little crafts. He proceeded to get one from his truck to show me....yep,it was what i knew i saw before. As he showed me,he asked me what he should charge.He said he didn't wan't to make money for him,but to give to his friend so she could have some money and with tears in his eyes he said "Thank you."..... "God Bless you!" with that big smile.
I didn't say you're welcome cause to me he didn't need to Thank me.He deserved that and so much more...I said " not a problem- you tell your friend her hands won't hurt making these next 20 and Thank you for the blessing." He smiled and went back to his truck. He had tears of joy for his little friend and the little supplies which meant the world to him,but I don't know if he realized what he meant to me....
I felt so foolish for all that I want and have. This poor guy with far less than most was such a blessing to someone else when he had so little himself.Oh he just made my day and I had to share how we take for granted ,little things. Those little things that just make people happy.
My mom says that when I help others I am getting stairs to heaven....I know he has more than steps with his oh-so generous heart. In a world where people can be so cruel,malicious and selfish, I am so THANKFUL to have run into this man.He is a reminder that there are still good people.People that help others when they have little themselves. I hoped and prayed that God would look over him and continue to bless him.
I am thankful for this little encounter although I have been crying since he left and as I sit here to type my experience of God working.
That being said....I hope that you have a blessed night and remember that you too,have so much to be thankful for.

Rainy Sunday....

It's raining and I imagine that is because I wanted to wash the car....well, as Young says " the SUV....it's not a car,but to me it's like coke....You ask what I want....I say get me a coke,but I mean Dr. Pepper....We have learned that every single flippin' time we intend to wash the SUV,truck,car or mow the lawn....it rains. I am not sure if that is because it is a miracle alone,or if that is a sign we are to chill out and relax. Our days are consumed with work,kids,cleaning house and oh....wait a minute, no more time for things we usually want to do.I have changed that though...a while back. I realized a long time ago, that my house is clean ENOUGH. yeah, you heard it,I said it...."enough". I will not ever have a maid, it doesn't stink and it is not clutter central and we have walking space,not paths ...so it's clean enough. I found I was always griping(for lack of the real word I mean to put here-lol) cause I get off work and go into Cinderella mode once my foot touches my yard. I noticed it and everyone in the house noticed it....Well screw that! I now make sure things are done and I have become more of a multi-tasking girl. Once I accepted that my house is not perfect, will not be perfect - I am less gripy,more happy and doing more fun stuff. I hope that you learn from me and take time to have a house that is clean enough, but a little heart that is happy and able to be creative. I figure if you read my blog you are one of 3 ....you know me, you are nosey or you are a scrapper. Either way, find your happy space so you are not consumed the way I was letting myself be.
Speaking of creative and the home......I just received my Fall Bliss Kit from The Scrapbook Get-Away... looky here...

I have made several layouts, cards and a gift tin already. It's very versatile!

O.k I am back in my groove..I was soooo not well Tues. afternoon and Weds. It was major girlie issues and I am more than sure my obsession /addiction to Dr.Pepper has something to do with it as well. What can I say though. I know what it feels like to have an addiction perhaps? I just loveeeee Dr. Pepper. I know I should not drink as much as I do,but I do not drink(occasionally only) or do drugs,eh???

Since I was out of commission, I have a swap due on the 10th,so I had to whip out my binder clips....here they are....

Sick Day...

I woke up this a.m automatically knew I felt ill...went to work anyhow.
I came home for lunch ,nibbled at a potatoe and laid down...I tried so hard to fall asleep,but the pain in my head,ears and back was so intense,I just laid here miserable on the sofa. I was finally able to sit up at 7:15(yeah, I was looking cause I was miserable just laying here) Just got on to blog since I could sit up. The migraine is returning with a little fever adn I am ready to call it a night.
Hoping for a better tomorrow. So much to do and now I can't do it.

T'was a Happy Halloween!

We had a blast Saturday! We cleaned up alllllll day to get ready for out Halloween party. We live in a neighborhood with only 4 streets.....let me tell you, there were kids for days! We saw so many costumes.Some were run of the mill usual ,while others were outlandishly cool. We had so much food and snacks and great company. Here are some snapshots of the night.....

Then there we were....Young was a carribean pirate, me the wench, Lorin the 80's girl, Jordan a vampire and Cody....well, he was the teenager?

Today I went ahead and took all the decor down and was mentally ready to put up Thanksgiving decor,but the day has flown by. Time change is in effect,so we'll see if that helps me get to bed at a somewhat decent hour.I am such a night owl,I am not sure it will even make a difference. I have tons of stuff to do and no time to do all I want to do.

I am so looking forward to Thanksgiving dinner already! Hope your Halloween was a happy one ~

6 days til Halloween!!

ARe you ready? got your candy? costume? .....I don't but I'm working on it...our 16 yr. old doesn't dress up for halloween...bummer! The girls on the other hand are all ready to get moving on it. Gotta make one a 50's or punk rocker chick and the other is to be a scarecrow.My dh forgot to get the hay from the in-laws.(geesh) Other than that, we're getting things in order-food, candy, candy apples and all that fun stuff! It's always a blast with all our friends who show up and we loVE to see the costumes that come around.

Aside from the Halloween party, we are really enjoying this fall ish weather. It's just been perfect around here. It did manage to rain a little,but rain doesn't hurt with the blistering summer we had here. The grass died and is gone!

I am still super excited about making the DT!!!yay! yay! yay! Soooooooooooo super excited or couldn't you tell? ha! here are a few challenges I've done. This is nice. With the challenges, I am getting pages done and it feels awesome! here's some eye candy......

I am sooo delighted,ecstatic,super fabulous!
I am sooo happy to announce that I was chosen to be a Designer for The Scrapbook get away! It's my first as a Designer,so I am so happy to see how it goes and all it entails. So, watch out and check the store for cool kits ....you just might get hooked! There are soooo many nice and friendly ladies on the site that it's very pleasant and I know if you're a scrapbooker,you'll enjoy it truly! I encourage you all to go and join the forum so you can do the challenges...they totally ROCK! I have done most of them and plan to finish up by month end.
The weather today has been beautiful! Not too cold or hot and just great. We went ahead and cleaned up the storage shed and the garage , which is great cause that's where I create.....If it has to be messy.......I wanna make the mess.HA! Here is my page for my 10/20 Challenge to write minimum 100 words about someone in family,but not our own kids. I did mine on my honey and just how lucky I am to have him.

Back Home and busy....

Went to a great retreat weekend in East Bernard...loved it totally! Same group of friends cutting up and getting crafty! It was a total blast.
Here I am with my little Mikearita(which isn't too bad)I was sooo craftin' it up. We managed to make in the pool for a good 20 minutes before dinner,which was also great. This is my 3rd retreat and by far the best. I'm hoping to make it to another,but not until next March. Holidays creepin' up and in no time we'll be chiming in a New Year! Gosh b darn, time flies when you aren't lookin'.

As of late, I have applied to make it on a Design Team at The Scrapbook Get-Away and hope to be chosen....we'll just have to wait and see. I love creating so I figured why not try and just think.....I could share my creative thoughts! woo hoo! o.k , let ya know when they decide...Kids and Hubby are great- getting ready for our Halloween Costume Party....Young and I will match this year.(So it's like a date? hee hee) Our neighborhood gets jam packed with goblins,so we just do burgers,hot dogs and snacks in the front and let the kids have at it with passerbys and friends...This makes for a fun and safe time! Gettin' off early tomorrow and hoping to clean up my craft garage so I can atleast make something....here are pics from my retreat...ahhhh so relaxing. ( the group and then my crazy friend Terri)

I finally slept well....Of course I didn't get to bed until 1:30 a.m. But thtat's o.k, I loved the sleep I was able to get. I a busy, busy week ahead.I work at Hobby Lobby part time ( 2 days wk),Meeting after work this wk, had to make cupcakes for work and then finally......Thursday I pack for my Scrapbook retreat this weekend. Time for some serious scrapbooking and cutting up.
I am hoping to get lots done.We'll see. Halloween will be here in just 2 weeks.I think I am freakin' out cause the month has flown by soo fast. It's just nuts. I've done a few pages for a great new site I found..here's on of them..

Time Flies....

Ya ever think how fast time flies? I had so many plans on what I wanted to do this week and BAM it's Friday. (oh well) I think you notice it when you get older?? I have been inspired all week and haven't had a chance to make anything. I am however, posting a pic of my page I created from my last retreat I went on which was a total blast. It wasn't too roomy,but the fun was worth it! We cut up and cracked up.....so here it is. .....I guess this is all for now since it's sooo late already. Had a great weekend! Friday cleaned up house and got it ready to be gone...Saturday we got up early and headed to Galveston to see kids grandpa Sid.............it was such a great visit. We ate a delicious dinner with tons of sides and snacks, which made for a full belly. It was so great to spend time together since we don't live too too close. The drive was nice as it usually is and the kids recognize at what point we are very close to grandpa's house every single time. I think they know we're right there and they wake up like clock work. I've learned not to mention ahead of time when we are going cause then it could be weeks or months and that's all we'll hear about UNTIL we get in the car to go and that my friend,is a long time to hear our parrot daughters!
The trip back home was nice and somewhat calm....We saw the neatest way on the way home....As we came back on Hwy 6, Missouri City,Tx, we saw (about 2 miles straight) people lined up holding signs that were againsta abortions....it was the neatest thing. I was overwhelmed with how when people come together they can make such a big impact! It was different people , different backgrounds,different religions,different in sooo many ways,but they all shared one strong thought! Anyhow, once we got past that it was" Build-a-bear" pleaaaaseeeeeee. (you know what happened next..) :) Anyhow, i am thankful for family,friends,love and life in general! O.k, so technically I started my 10/02 post before midnight, but it's now 12:13 which makes it the 3rd now....times flies so darn fast. I love to babble too... Anyhooooo, the weather is feeling great lately and I am ready for some pumpkins and some trick or treaters.....Have you found your costume? I will be a deckhand wench and Young will be a sort of buccaneer guy,but not a pirate...not to mention I won't look as sexy as she does, nor will I wear those hideous boots....LOL

Lorin took a pic of our lit up pumpkins....here it is. she shows such an interest in taking photographs....i just love it! (no, the black spots on the ground aren't mold...heehee)

Sooooooooo Back in Action!

I am finally back in action, breathing, working,in full creative mode! Only took forever....first I was busy, then busier,then school started back up, then....the laptop crashed! So I am so happy to say that I got my new laptop and everything is hunky-dory here in my little world again. ( so loving the DH for getting me the one I wanted) XOXO... Anyhow, I am back up to post and hope to do it more regularly from this point on.

so then...recently just the other day....went to SCRAPPINK crop at the Scrapbook Junkie & this precious little bag of goodies awaited my arrival....so nice and welcoming I thought.

My good friend ,Amber, went with me and it was a blast! EXCEPT the ride home this time....we were sooo sleepy before we even got to Rosenberg,that it was a tough ride home...Next time, I am staying with JoAnn, Terri or Cecile.....( note to self: remember this next time) I mainly worked with JoAnn's projects,but managed to come home with a cute little Halloween bucket she made and gave to me since she was being an Indian-giver...(LOL) here's the precious bucket she made in like 10 minutes!

Cecile and I were inspired by an attendee there at the crop...so we made this handy dandy little inspiration album to record all those little doodle drawings, magazine layouts, handwritten layouts and anything cre8ive so we can refer back to...here is mine...

The upper left rub on reads " I exist to CRE8" that about sums it up for me. ...of course family is right next to it, but yep! I do believe I exist for that very reason. The lower left corner stamp reads "play" cause that's what I call it...

And then there is the new newest love of my little world now,Gyp.

this little gizmo is gonna work some overtime here soon! it isn't tonight like i planned,but possibly Sunday cause the house is clean enough and we're on the road to Galveston at 7! woo hoo! gotta love the weekends and a nice drive! Goodnight, it's great to be back in action!

This is my first post for Mojo Monday's sketch blog.....It was fun coming up with papers and all that jazz to do this. It gets the creative juices flowing....I used cream textured cardstock, pearl gems, colored twine,scalloped circle, leather paper for the center circle of the scallop and then pretty patterned paper with a tiny I love you stamp.....hope you like it as it's my very first MOJO.

Easter is in only 3 days...are you ready to celebrate? I have been on a bow mission- making bows and scrappin' or atleast thinkin' of it most of the time. The family went to play tennis this evening-eveyone but ME! I had to sit and watch since I don't have a darn clue what I am doing and lessons are impossible since Young has to play with the kids.......but one day I'll get my turn I imagine. The burn ban is still in effect and there are such idiots in this town STILL burning. It was the BEST! I'll be hosting my first ever crop....my way! I am hoping for a good turn out,but we'll see. I live in a small town and can't just go out of town like before so I've decided to do something about it for others in the same situation! I am always looking for inspiration and hope this turns out well so I can do more classes and other things I have in my little head!

So much has gone on lately so, I have been mia so it seems. I am looking to get to some serious scrappin' but it hasn't happened. So.....I will shoot for tomorrow. I think I should have a break this weekend....always something going on it seems. I am so glad the inauguration is over! I am sick of hearing about it, as long as he does well by the country for the country I have no issues, if he screws stuff up, well.....it'll be too damn' bad cause the people who voted for him put him there.....so let's move on!

On a brighter note, this is the last/latest page I have done on my oldest daughter, Lorin....She's a hoot! Total nut!

Christmas has come n' gone! Hope yours was a merry one. We went to my mom's and then my husband's parents and made it to see Marley & Me at 4.....That is a must see! I haven't seen Jen & Owen in a movie quite so good. It's good all the way through. Funny, loving, sad,funny, funny and sad....It was a different kind of character for them both!
Got me a canon digital rebel XSI ! I haven't gotten to try it taking my time, but I'll have to try it out on the way to Galveston! We'll be going to see Grandpa, so I'll get to get some good shots I am sure. Texas weather is so unpredicatable you never know what's gonna happen-

It's Christmas time....we don't do much on the Eve, but will join our crazy families for a little
Christmas cheer together! What are you doing for Christmas? I got it( shopping) all done for only starting on Sunday which was such a relief. We are trying to keep it all practical and not over-do it like we've done years back. NO CREDIT CARDS! Throw those suckers away! Anyhow, we'll bake some cupcakes and go check out the lights tonight in Cuero. ( Cuero is a small town known for great lighting at Christmas) Aside from that a good game of monopoly, spanish bingo and Yahtzee are a must for the next few days......Of course the kids are dog lovers so we'll have to go see Marley & Me . It's gonna be good! I hope you are all ready cause we'll soon be in a new year....A new year with new hopes, more dreams,resolutions and tons of pictures to be taken. I'll post some of our pics soon. This is my first blog. I am gonna give it a shot and see how it goes. I am hooked at looking at certain profiles and have been wanting to make one, so ......2 days before Christmas and busier than ever, I am just now trying. I think that might be bad timing....but oh well!
